7" Wuhan Chau

Product Description

The Wuhan Chau Gong in 7" is hand-forged using traditional Chinese techniques passed down through generations. It produces a deep, enveloping fundamental tone wrapped in shimmering overtones, and works equally well in orchestral settings, sound therapy, and meditation.

Sound Character

A gentle stroke releases a meditative hum that seems to suspend time, while a forceful strike unleashes a vast, thunderous crash capable of filling concert halls or ceremonial spaces. The fundamental tone is deep and surrounded by rich overtones that build and swirl with intensity after the strike.

Applications

The gong suits a range of settings:

• Western and Eastern orchestras, for dramatic crescendos and tonal depth
• Sound therapy and meditation, for grounding and vibrational healing
• Yoga and mindfulness sessions, to mark transitions and deepen awareness
• Theater and film, for striking, cinematic impact and emotional weight

Presence

From concert stages to temples and wellness studios, the Chau Gong stands as both an instrument and an experience, a sonic force that commands attention and restores balance in the room.
