6"/6" Meinl Crasher Hats, Benny Greb Cymbal Stack

Product Description

The Meinl Crasher Hats 6" is a special effects cymbal stack developed together with Benny Greb, who also co-designed Meinl's best-selling Sand series. The stack consists of four 6" cymbals that together produce both a powerful crash sound and a distinct x-hat sound. It's louder than you might expect, yet free from the harsh, ear-piercing frequencies that can otherwise be uncomfortable in the mix.

• Stack of 4 x 6" cymbals. 3 in B20 alloy and 1 in B12 alloy
• Wide range of use: works as a crasher for short accents and as an x-hat for groove playing
• Made in Meinl's Turkish factory, quality-controlled and finished in Germany
• Delivered complete with a Meinl MHXA holder

Sound Character

The four combined cymbals create a sound that's hard to get from a single cymbal. A short, aggressive crash with extra bite, but also a tighter, more defined x-hat sound when played in a groove. The mix of B20 and B12 alloy gives the stack its character: full-bodied without becoming unruly, suited to both strong accents and more subtle effects.

Who It's For

The Crasher Hats 6" is a great fit if you want to widen your sound palette with effects that stand out, whether you're in the studio or on stage. It's especially interesting for drummers who already like Benny Greb's sound and want the same tool in their own setup.
