Paiste 2002 Cup Chime Cymbal 5-Pack

Product Description

The Paiste 2002 Cup Chime is a 5-piece set of ringing bronze cymbals, part of the 2002 series that has shaped drummers' sound since 1971. They are cast from CuSn8 bronze, known as "2002 Bronze", delivering a bright, warm and powerful tone with strong projection. Suited for rock, blues, punk, hard rock, heavy metal and many more genres, live and in the studio.

Since its launch, the 2002 series has defined the sound of generations of drummers, and today's cymbals are still built on the same classic foundation. The Cup Chime set adds five smaller, bell-like cymbals that give a kit distinct accent sounds.

Sound and feel

The sound is brilliant, clear, warm and strong, with high energy and powerful projection, while remaining musical and precise. The attack is lively with a pinging intensity, the bell rings long, and the chick sound is full. The thickness is medium, giving a playable middle ground between soft and medium loud volume.

Best suited for

The 2002 Cup Chime works in medium-soft to loud settings: classic rock, blues, punk, hard rock, heavy metal and modern metal styles, crossover, country rock, ska, rockabilly, funk, R&B, soul, gospel and related genres, live and in the studio.
