ProMark 2B Classic Forward FireGrain 16"x0.630"

Product Description

The ProMark 2B Classic Forward FireGrain (TX2BW-FG) is a heat-treated FireGrain hickory drumstick, 16" long with a 0.630" diameter and a Teardrop tip. The heat treatment makes the hickory significantly more durable without changing its weight, balance or feel.

FireGrain™ is ProMark's own heat-treatment process, which hardens the hickory through flame treatment. The result is a stick with significantly increased durability and a solid, clearer attack, while keeping the same weight, balance and playing feel as an untreated stick. No extra vibration is added despite the harder hickory.

Quality from sawmill to finished stick

ProMark owns its own sawmill and therefore controls the entire production chain. Selection and sorting of the hickory happens at the sawmill itself, and only the best pieces are sent on to the factory for finishing. This ensures consistently high quality throughout the FireGrain line.

Pairs are both pitch-matched and weight-matched to ProMark's own tolerances: the pitch difference between the sticks in a pair is a maximum of 6 Hz, roughly a quarter tone (0.25 semitone), and the weight difference is a maximum of 1.5 grams. Good pitch and weight matching is essential for even-sounding rolls.

Environmental commitment

ProMark follows the Play. Plant. Preserve. philosophy. For every tree felled, five new trees are planted.

Who It's For

Great for players who already like the weight and feel of a 2B but want sticks that last longer under hard playing, without any change in sound or response.
