26" Evans EMAD - Clear
Bass drum head with interchangeable muffling rings for tailored low-end focus or classic felt-strip tone.
Product Description
The Evans EMAD Clear is a single-ply, 26" bass drum head that puts tone control right at the head itself. With the included muffling rings, you can switch between several distinct sounds without changing heads or adding extra muffling inside the drum. An award-winning choice for drummers who want precise control over their bass drum sound.
The head has a built-in plastic ring where you place the included muffling rings. With the narrow ring, the drum keeps its natural tone but with a sharper focus on the low end.
The wide ring scoops out the lower midrange, giving even more focus to the bottom end. Play with no ring at all and you get the classic "felt strip sound."
Many sounds, one head
Thanks to the interchangeable muffling rings, EMAD is a head of many faces. It has put its finger right on the unwanted frequencies that can otherwise make a bass drum hard to dial in for different settings.
