The Evans EMAD Calftone is a synthetic bass drum head that gives you the look and warm sound of traditional calfskin, combined with the reliability and tonal range of a modern Evans 360 head. A great choice if you want vintage character without the drawbacks of vintage heads.
The head is built from 12 mil mylar blended with a unique material to achieve the warmth and clear tone associated with genuine calfskin. Calftone can be used as both a batter head and a resonant head, giving you flexibility in how you shape your bass drum sound.
