26" Evans EMAD - Coated White
Bass drum head with interchangeable muffling rings for a drier, focused tone. Coated finish adds extra dryness.
Product Description
The Evans EMAD Coated is a single-ply 26" bass drum head with built-in muffling that makes it a head of many faces. Using the two included muffling rings, you control how much low and low-mid frequency to tame, without tape or loose felt strips.
The head has a small plastic ring where you place the included muffling rings. The narrow ring keeps the drum's natural tone while focusing on the low end. The wide ring carves out more of the lower mid-range for even more low-end focus. Play with no ring at all and you get the classic "felt strip sound" familiar from older setups.
The coated surface gives a slightly drier tone compared to a clear version, which many players prefer in the studio and on stage where excess overtones from the bass drum aren't wanted.
