24" Evans EMAD2 - Clear
Two-ply bass drum head with swappable muffling rings. Tames unwanted frequencies for focused, controlled low end.
Product Description
The Evans EMAD2 is a two-ply bass drum head that lets you shape your own muffling. A small plastic ring near the edge holds interchangeable muffling rings, so you can dial in exactly the tone you're after. That makes it a genuinely versatile choice for the bass drum.
The award-winning design targets exactly the frequencies that make a bass drum sound boomy or out of control. With the narrow muffling ring fitted, the drum keeps its natural tone while gaining clearer focus on the low end.
Fit the wide muffling ring instead and the lower midrange is scooped out further, giving even more focus to the bottom end and a tighter, more controlled attack. Run the head with no ring at all and you get the classic "felt strip" sound familiar from older recordings.
Included in delivery
The head ships with two interchangeable muffling rings (one narrow, one wide), so you can experiment and find the tone that suits you and your drum best.
