24" Aquarian Super Kick III Single Ply With Power Dot - Coated

Product Description

The Aquarian Super Kick III 24" is a single ply, coated bass drum head with a Power Dot, built for drummers and audio engineers who want a musical, controlled bass drum sound without towels, pillows or other external muffling. The patented "Floating Muffling System" handles the dampening right inside the head.

The Super Kick series is one of the most imitated bass drum head lines on the market, and a favorite among drummers, drum techs and recording engineers. The system uses a narrow strip of acoustic felt mounted loosely inside the head. The felt moves and "breathes" with the head as it's struck, giving a pre-muffled yet still natural sound. Without adding extra towels or pillows inside the drum.

Sound

The result is a controlled sound with reduced unwanted overtones and a noticeably boosted low-end punch. The Power Dot reinforcement in the center adds extra durability and a focused attack where the beater strikes.

Construction

This head is built as a single ply with a coated surface. The Super Kick series is also available in double-ply and hybrid-ply versions, and in clear, textured or vintage coated finishes. This version is single ply and coated.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want studio-grade sound control right out of the box, without having to fuss with separate muffling.
