24" Aquarian Super Kick 10 - Coated

Product Description

The Aquarian Super Kick 10 Coated is a 24" bass drum head built for musical, controlled sound without stuffing the drum with pillows, blankets or other external muffling. It's a widely copied favorite among drummers, drum techs and recording engineers who want a clean, punchy bass drum tone straight away.

The key is Aquarian's patented Floating Muffling System. A narrow band of acoustic felt that sits loosely against the underside of the head. The felt moves and "breathes" with the head as you play, rather than being fixed in place. The result is a muffled yet still natural tone: unwanted overtones are eliminated while the head's low-end punch is enhanced.

Sound and feel

You get a controlled, musical bass drum sound that would otherwise require extra muffling material inside the drum. Because the felt floats freely with the head's movement, the response stays natural rather than the deadened feel fixed muffle rings can give.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want to skip experimenting with pillows and blankets in the bass drum but still get a tight, controlled tone live or in the studio.
