The Remo Powerstroke 3 Coated Felt Tone is a 24" bass drumhead with a free-floating felt dampening strip built right in. It gives you the classic, dampened bass drum tone without having to rig up your own damping solution. It's already inside the head.

Drummers have long taped a strip of felt against the batter head to get a more controlled, punchy bass drum sound. The Powerstroke 3 Felt Tone takes that idea and builds it into the head itself: a free-floating felt strip sits inside the head and dampens overtones without any extra setup.

Construction and Sound

The felt strip isn't glued in place but floats freely inside the head, so the dampening feels natural and even rather than harsh or dead. The result is a warm, controlled bass drum tone with clear attack, suited to both vintage-style and contemporary drum kits.
