The Meinl Byzance Traditional Extra Hammered Ride is a 24" ride in B20 alloy, hand-hammered and worked with extra large hammering marks. It gives a unique blend of strong stick definition, old-fashioned warmth and a wash that is there but never takes over.

The cymbal has good stick attack that cuts through nicely while the complex tone is maintained. The sound character is warm with medium to long sustain and medium to low volume. The weight is medium thin.
Construction
The Byzance Traditional series is made in Turkey from an alloy of 80% copper and 20% tin, known as B20 alloy. Both the top and bottom are hand-hammered, and the surface has been worked with extra large hammering marks. The finish is called Traditional.
