24" Istanbul Mehmet Turk Ride Medium Ride Cymbal - Unlathed, Raw Finish
24″ ride cymbal from Istanbul Mehmet, Turk Ride Medium with unlathed, raw surface. Dry, compact tone with rich low overtones.
Product Description
The Istanbul Mehmet Turk Ride Medium 24″ is an unlathed ride cymbal with a raw surface that clearly shows every hammer mark. This raw, unlathed surface is a direct result of the hand hammering that shapes the cymbal's compact character.
The unlathed, raw surface reveals every hammer mark created during the hand hammering process, giving these cymbals their compact sound. It's meant for drummers who want that dry and compact sound, while still keeping the wide array of low overtones that's so specific to hand hammered cymbals. The character is dry, compact, raw, controlled, and musical.
It works across genres, for rock, jazz, and everything in between, suiting drummers who want a ride with a compact, controlled voice rather than a bright, open sustain.
