24" Evans EQ4 Batter Bass Drum Head - UV Coated

Product Description

EQ4 Batter UV Coated is a single-ply bass drum head in 24'' with UV-processed coating. It gives a dynamic sound with a brilliant top end and a full bottom, and the manufacturer describes it as the most durable single-ply head on the market with a wide sound palette.

Technology

The head is made with UV-processed coating and Level 360 Technology, which makes it easy to tune with a wide tuning range. The damping sits as a ring whose width varies with head diameter, where a larger diameter gives a wider damping ring.

Sound

With light off-centre playing you get nice overtones with a clear identity, while harder playing gives a rounder attack reminiscent of two-ply heads. Tuned low, the head gets a softer attack with good bottom, while tuned high it gives a more focused sound with a firm attack and a full core.

Use

The head suits a variety of musical contexts thanks to its wide sound palette.
