Meinl Sonic Energy Wind Gong 22"

Product Description

22" Wind Gong from Meinl Sonic Energy, made from a bronze alloy with a nearly flat shape that gives it a long, sustained sound. The gong is well suited for sound healing, meditation and relaxation practices where a deep, resonant tone is central. The tonal character sits mainly in the lower register, but overtones emerge beautifully when played more forcefully.

Meinl Wind Gongs, also known as Feng or Sun Gongs, are hand-crafted in China using ancient methods and a special bronze alloy. The nearly flat shape lets the vibration spread across the entire surface, giving a very sustained sound. The surface is stamped with the logo and size information.

Construction and delivery

The gong is 1.4 cm thick and has a net weight of 3000 g (105.82 oz). It comes with a beater individually designed for this specific size, plus a protective cover for storage and transport. The package contains 1 pc.
