22" Aquarian Super Kick III - Coated

Product Description

The Aquarian Super Kick III is a 22" single-ply bass drum head with a Coated finish and Power Dot, built to deliver a controlled, musical bass drum sound straight out of the box. Thanks to the built-in "Floating Muffling System", there's no need to stuff the drum with pillows, blankets or other external muffling.

• Built-in muffling. No loose pillows or blankets needed
• Natural sound that's still under control
• Increased low-end punch
• Reduces unwanted overtones
• Coated finish with Power Dot for added durability at the point of impact

Floating Muffling System

The head features a patented, narrow band of acoustic felt built into the construction. Rather than sitting fixed in place, the felt moves and "breathes" together with the head as it's struck. This eliminates the unwanted overtones that would otherwise create an unfocused, ringing sound, while the head keeps a natural character. Not the closed-off, dead feel you can get from packing the drum tight with pillows.

Sound and use

The result is a bass drum sound with a nice, punchy low end and solid control, with no need to add your own muffling. The Super Kick series is a favorite among drummers, drum techs and recording engineers who want a musical, manageable bass drum sound right when they head up the drum, without extra hassle inside the shell.

The series

Super Kick is available in single-ply, double-ply and hybrid-ply versions, in clear, texture and vintage coated finishes. So you can pick the version that matches the tone and attack you're after.
