22" Aquarian Superkick Single Ply - Coated

Product Description

The Aquarian Super Kick is one of the most widely imitated bass drum heads around. A favorite among drummers, drum techs and recording engineers who want a musical, controlled bass drum sound without stuffing the drum with pillows, blankets or other external muffling. This is the 22" Superkick, single ply with a Coated finish.

The secret is the patented Floating Muffling System. A narrow ring of acoustic felt mounted loosely inside the head. The felt moves and "breathes" with the head as it's struck, eliminating unwanted overtones while the head keeps a natural feel and rebound. The result is a muffled yet still lively sound, with plenty of that satisfying low-end punch.

Skip the extra muffling

Since the muffling system is already built into the head, there's no need to fill the bass drum with pillows or blankets to get the sound under control. That means faster setup and a consistent, studio-ready bass drum tone every time. Whether you're at rehearsal, on stage or in the studio.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want a controlled, punchy bass drum sound straight out of the box, without experimenting with external muffling. The Superkick series is also available in double ply and hybrid ply versions, and in clear, texture and vintage coated finishes if you want to explore other tonal characters in the same family.
