22" Aquarian Super Kick II - Coated

Product Description

The Aquarian Super Kick II 22" is a double ply bass drum head with built-in muffling, designed for drummers and sound technicians who want a controlled, musical bass drum tone without filters, pillows or other external dampening. Often imitated but never duplicated, it's a favorite in both studio and live settings thanks to its ready-to-play, dampened sound straight out of the box.

• Patented Floating Muffling System for natural, built-in muffling
• Removes unwanted overtones
• Boosts low-end punch
• No extra filters, pillows or dampening needed

Floating Muffling System

At the core of the Super Kick II is the patented Floating Muffling System. A narrow band of acoustic felt resting loosely against the head. The felt moves and "breathes" with the head on every hit, giving a muffled yet natural tone. The result is a controlled bass drum sound with clear attack and full low-end, without the rattles and inconsistencies external dampening can introduce.

Construction

This is a double ply version with a coated finish, giving a warmer tone and increased durability against hard beater impact compared to a single ply head. The Super Kick series is also available in single ply and hybrid versions, with clear, textured or vintage coated finishes. This version is double ply and coated.

Who It's For

A solid choice if you want a bass drum tone that's ready to go without building your own dampening setup with filters and pillows inside the drum.
