Product Description
The Superkick is Aquarian's best-known bass drum head – a go-to choice for drummers, drum techs and recording engineers who want a controlled, musical bass drum sound without stuffing the shell full of pillows and blankets. This is the single ply version in a clear finish, 22 inches.
Floating Muffling System
The secret is Aquarian's patented Floating Muffling System: a narrow band of acoustic felt mounted on the inside of the head. Instead of sitting rigid like a normal muffling ring, the felt moves and "breathes" with the head as it's struck. That removes unwanted overtones while still letting the head vibrate naturally – no need for extra pillows, blankets or external muffling inside the drum.
Sound and feel
Being a single ply, clear-finish head, it keeps an open, natural attack while the Floating Muffling System reins in the ring and brings out low-end punch. The result is a controlled, "pre-muffled" tone that never feels dead or lifeless.
