22" Aquarian Performance II Power Dot - Clear

Product Description

The Aquarian Performance II Clear With Power Dot is a 22" two-ply bass drum head built for players who tune low and want a fat, punchy sound with a classic rock character. The Power Dot reinforcement adds extra durability and a focused attack right where the beater strikes.

The head is built using Aquarian's Vacuum Tuned Process, which eliminates air bubbles and wrinkles between the two plies during manufacturing, giving a more even and predictable head to tune.

Construction and tone

The two 7 mil plies are sealed only at the edges, unlike traditional two-ply heads that are glued together across the whole surface. This tames unwanted overtones and shifts the focus toward the low frequencies.

Performance II is designed for low tuning, where it delivers the fattest and most punchy sound the head can produce. The kind of tone heard on classic rock records. It can also make a small or budget-friendly kit sound significantly bigger and more powerful than it is.

Who It's For

A good choice if you play rock and want a deep, filled-out bottom end with plenty of punch in the bass drum, rather than an open, bright sound.
