22" Meinl Pure Alloy Extra Hammered Ride - Traditional

Product Description

The Meinl Pure Alloy Extra Hammered Ride is a 22" ride cymbal made in Germany, using computer hammering to create extra, distinct hammer marks. It delivers dry, clear stick definition combined with a warm, full body and short sustain, making it versatile across a range of musical settings.

The stick attack is clear and rich, with a musical articulation created by the extra hammering across the surface. The sound character is medium-dark, with a complex, full, musical and warm quality, while volume sits at medium to low and sustain at medium to short. Pitch is on the higher to mid range.

Sound and Feel

The Pure Alloy series is made at Meinl's German factory using computer hammering, a technique reflecting the controlled, even Central European sound. The series also includes crash cymbals in sizes from 16" to 22" and hi-hats with a tight sound and clear attack, all sharing a bright, clean sound character. This ride is available in 20" and 22".

Who It's For

Thanks to its warm yet clear sound, this cymbal works well for rock, pop, fusion, R&B, reggae and studio work.
