Product Description
The Meinl Byzance Foundry Reserve 22" China Ride is an exclusive, hand-hammered cymbal made from B20 bronze alloy (80% copper, 20% tin) with built-in rivets. It delivers a classic China Ride sound that works beautifully as a smooth ride in the old-school big band tradition when played lightly, while the rivets add extra shimmer and the trademark hang on accents.

- Extensive hand-hammering for a wide range and great dynamics
- Distinctive attack with controlled sustain and volume
- Ideal for studio and live use across genres where expressiveness and dynamics matter
- Made at Meinl's Turkish factory, quality-checked and finished at Meinl's German factory
About Byzance Foundry Reserve
Byzance Foundry Reserve is Meinl's flagship series, crafted by experienced cymbal smiths with exceptional skill. The series receives more processing than any other line, with every hammer strike contributing to a nuanced tone that combines shimmering overtones with dark depth.
These cymbals offer great dynamic range and controlled sustain, so the clear, woody attack is never lost even as tempo or playing intensity increases. These are exclusive cymbals that transcend genre, though they're likely to be most appreciated in studio settings and within styles such as jazz, fusion, blues, funk and R&B.
