22" Istanbul Mehmet MC Jazz Ride Sizzle Ride Cymbal
Light jazz ride with a raw, unlathed bell for a dark, dry sound and great stick definition. Built-in sizzle for extra shimmer.
Product Description
The Istanbul Mehmet MC Jazz Ride Sizzle is a 22" jazz ride designed to capture the sound of unlathed Turk cymbals, but in a light weight build. It delivers a dark and dry sound with great stick definition and mellow overtones, making it a great fit for traditional jazz or any player chasing a light, dark cymbal sound.
Construction and sound
The bell has a raw, unlathed surface, while the body features vintage and sparse lathing. The light weight gives the cymbal a quick response while keeping the dark, dry character, with clear stick definition and mellow overtones rather than a long, ringing sustain.
Sizzle rivets
The cymbal is fitted with sizzle rivets that add a subtle shimmering, rattling layer on top of the core sound. A classic touch for a jazz ride that wants a bit more life without losing focus.
Who it's for
Ideal for traditional jazz players, but versatile enough for any style calling for a light, dark cymbal sound.
