22" Istanbul Agop Traditional Trash Hit China Cymbal
22" China Cymbal (Trash Hit) from Istanbul Agop's Traditional series. Fast, trashy attack somewhere between a crash and a china.
Product Description
The 22" Traditional Trash Hit is a china cymbal from Istanbul Agop, made with a unique and creative lathing process that gives the outer edge its warped, malleable quality. It sounds like a cross between a crash and a china, or a swish, with a fast trashy attack and a fairly quick decay.
The warped outer edge comes from a special lathing process that makes the edge malleable and lively. Smaller sizes sound like a cross between a splash and a china, while larger sizes like this 22" model sound more like a cross between a crash and a china, or a swish.
Sound and attack
The attack is fast and trashy, with a fairly quick decay, making the cymbal easy to use for accents and effect hits.
Construction
Traditional Series cymbals are completely lathed on top and bottom, producing rich, warm overtones and a highly musical presence. The series is available in weights ranging from paper thin to heavy, offering a wide array of choices to complement any style of music.
