22" Istanbul Agop Traditional Dark Ride Cymbal

Product Description

The 22" Traditional Dark Ride from Istanbul Agop is a fully lathed ride cymbal with a warm, rich tone and a darker, denser wash beneath the stick attack. It belongs to the manufacturer's Traditional Series and suits players looking for a musical, nuanced cymbal with a distinct character.

Traditional Series cymbals are completely lathed on both top and bottom, producing rich, warm overtones and a highly musical presence. This particular model has a darker wash character, giving the sound a more cohesive, atmospheric quality rather than a bright, open one.

The series is produced in weights ranging from paper thin to heavy, meaning Traditional cymbals as a range can suit many different styles of music. Stick response is warm and natural, without becoming harsh or sharp.

Who It's For

A good choice if you want a ride with a darker, more enveloping character rather than a bright, cutting one, for example in jazz, fusion, or quieter acoustic settings.
