22" Paiste Formula 602 Modern Essentials China Cymbal

Product Description

The Formula 602 Modern Essentials China is a hand-crafted 22" china cymbal from Paiste, developed in collaboration with Vinnie Colaiuta. It delivers a musical, deep and dark sound with a full character, suited for both studio and live use across most musical genres.

Sound Character

The 602 Modern Essentials series is built on the same alloy as the original Formula 602 and produces a musical, deep, warm and dark sound with a full body. The cymbal has a washy attack with plenty of underlying cymbal wash, and a lively intensity that makes it expressive in both quiet and intense passages. Volume ranges from medium low to loud, making it flexible across different sound settings. The bell is integrated into the cymbal and contributes its own distinct element to the overall sound.

Construction

The cymbal is hand-crafted from CuSn20 alloy, also known as 602-Bronze, in a medium thin weight. The combination of alloy and thickness is central to the dark, full sound character the series is known for.

Who It's For

A versatile cymbal for players working across most musical genres, both in the studio and on stage. Its dynamic character makes it equally useful in subdued and more intense musical settings.
