22" Paiste Color Sound 900 Red Ride Cymbal - Red

Product Description

Paiste Color Sound 900 Red Ride is a 22" ride cymbal in CuSn20 bronze with a red colour coating. The cymbal shares the same construction as the uncoated Color Sound 900 series, but the coating gives it a slightly darker, more controlled sound. Suited for both live and studio use, across most genres and musical settings.

• Warm, full and dynamic sound
• Clear, defined stick attack
• Long bell decay
• Medium heavy weight
• Medium Low to Loud volume
• Fairly integrated chick sound

Sound Character

The sound is warm and full with good dynamic range. The attack is clear and defined, the bell sustains for a long time, and the intensity is warm rather than sharp. Volume sits in the Medium Low to Loud range, making the cymbal usable across different musical contexts.

Construction

The cymbal is made from the CuSn20 alloy and, like the rest of the 900 series, goes through a machine-made production process in its first stage. It is then hand-hammered as a final step. The red colour coating gives the cymbal its distinct look and also contributes to the slightly darker, more controlled sound compared to the uncoated 900 series.

Who It's For

For players who want a ride cymbal with personality, both visually and sonically, and who prefer a slightly more controlled sound than the standard version in the 900 series.
