Product Description
The Evans GMAD is a clear bass drum batter head built with a thicker 12 mil film, giving a more natural attack than thinner heads while producing flatter mids and a firm low end. It's a solid option if you want the tight, controlled bottom end the EMAD series is known for, but without as much click in the attack.
The thicker film responds a bit softer to the beater than thinner heads, while still keeping the sound firm and full in the low end. The result is a more organic-feeling attack, with less of the sharp click that some thinner bass drum heads produce.
Good for players who already like the EMAD sound but find the click too prominent, or anyone who wants a bass drum head with natural attack and a firm low end without built-in muffling.
