Classic Clear is a single-ply, medium-thickness drumhead from Aquarian, made with the Nu-Brite coating. It works equally well as a batter head or a resonant head, making it a flexible choice no matter what you're tuning up.
As a batter head, this 10 mil thick head gives a wide-open, full sound with clear attack and long sustain – the drum's full potential comes through without sounding choked or compressed.
As a resonant head
Used as a resonant (bottom) head, Classic Clear gives a warm, clean tone without choking the drum's sound. Resonant heads are often overlooked, but they have a major effect on the drum's overall tone. A poorly made or poorly tuned bottom head can kill the tone entirely, no matter how good the batter head is – so getting the resonant side right matters just as much.
