22" Sabian AAX Omni Crash-Ride

Product Description

The Sabian 22" AAX Omni is a large, versatile cymbal built for drummers who need a primary cymbal with both a clear attack and an expansive, musical wash. It combines power and control and works equally well as a ride, crash, or all-round cymbal.

Design and build

This cymbal is part of Sabian's AAX series and uses the OMNI concept, where the large 22" diameter adds extra body and low-end presence while keeping the response quick. The attack is crisp and clear, and when played freely it opens into a large, flowing wash that spreads naturally across the sound.

Sound profile and applications

Thanks to its larger size, the AAX Omni offers deep, resonant tones with real reach. Depending on how you play it, it can work as a ride, a crash, or a versatile all-round cymbal. It's well suited for rock, pop and fusion, as well as live sets where cymbals need to be seen and heard, but it also fits studio use where flexibility matters.

Why choose this one?

If you already own smaller cymbals and are looking for a larger, more commanding option that still retains control and musical character, this is a strong choice. It combines volume and presence without losing definition, making it suitable for both tracking and live performance.
