22" Paiste 900 Series Ride Cymbal
Product Description
22" ride cymbal from Paiste's 900 Series, made from CuSn20 alloy, the same alloy used in the Paiste 2002 series. The cymbal is machine-made at its core but finished with hand hammering, giving a well-built, great-sounding cymbal at a good price. Suitable for most genres, both live and in the studio.
- Warm, full and dynamic sound
- Clear stick attack and long bell decay
- Warm intensity with a fairly integrated chick sound
- Medium low to loud volume
Sound Character
The 900 Series Ride offers a warm, full sound with good dynamics. The attack is clear and defined, the bell has a long decay, and the intensity feels warm rather than harsh. The chick sound is fairly well integrated into the overall character.
Construction
The cymbal is made from CuSn20 alloy, the same alloy Paiste uses in its 2002 series. Combining modern machine manufacturing with a final hand-hammering step gives the cymbal a hybrid character between industrial precision and handcrafted feel. The thickness is classed as medium heavy.
Who It's For
A great ride for players who want a warm, versatile sound without paying premium-tier prices. Works well both on stage and in the studio across most musical contexts.
