22" Paiste 900 Series Heavy Ride Cymbal

Product Description

The Paiste 900 Series Heavy Ride, 22", is a robust ride cymbal with a warm, full and dynamic sound. It is made from CuSn20 bronze, the same alloy used in the Paiste 2002 series among others, and is first machine-made before being hand-hammered in the final step. The result is a well-built, great-sounding cymbal at a good price.

• CuSn20 bronze alloy, same alloy type as Paiste 2002 and others
• Heavy weight, delivering volume from medium to very loud
• Ping attack with a lively intensity
• Separated bell for a distinct, clearly defined bell sound

Sound Character

The sound is warm, full and dynamic, with a ping attack that keeps the tone clear and defined. The bell is separated from the rest of the cymbal, giving it a distinct bell sound that stands out clearly in the mix. Intensity is lively, and the cymbal responds well whether played softly or hard.

Construction

The 900 Series is first machine-made, giving consistent quality at an attractive price, and then hand-hammered in the final step, adding a well-built feel without pushing up the price.

Who It's For

A heavy ride like this suits players who want volume and clarity in their cymbal sound, both live and in the studio. The heavy weight makes it well suited to genres and settings where the cymbal needs to cut through, while the warm, full sound works across most musical contexts.
