22" Paiste 2002 Heavy Ride Cymbal
22" ride cymbal, Paiste 2002 Heavy Ride in CuSn8 bronze. Powerful projection and clear tone for rock, metal and hard-hitting styles.
Product Description
The Paiste 2002 Heavy Ride is a 22" ride cymbal made from CuSn8 alloy (2002 Bronze), part of one of the most legendary cymbal series in rock history since its launch in 1971. The heavy thickness delivers high volume and strong projection while keeping the sound clear and musical.
Today's 2002 series is still manufactured according to the fundamentals of the original classic cymbals and works just as well today as it did in the 70s. It suits music from medium-soft to very loud, live and in the studio, and is widely used in classic rock, blues, punk, hard rock, heavy metal and most modern metal styles, as well as crossover, country rock, ska, rockabilly, funk, R&B, soul and gospel.
Sound Character
The sound is described as brilliant, clear, warm and strong, with a musical and very precise character. Energy level and projection are high, keeping the cymbal cutting through a dense mix. The attack is ping-like with a clear, well-defined bell, and the intensity is slightly dry. The chick sound is integrated into the cymbal's overall character.
