20" Meinl Symphonic Suspended Cymbal

Product Description

The Meinl Symphonic Suspended 20" is a hand-hammered B20 cymbal developed for the classical symphonic market. Created together with percussionists, it delivers the dynamics, balance and sophisticated sound spectrum found in hand-hammered B20 cymbals. A natural choice for players in orchestral or ensemble settings who want a cymbal that responds directly to their touch.

Sound and Response

The cymbal has a medium-thin weight and a flat profile, giving it a clean yet multi-faceted sound. As with the Byzance Jazz line, the Symphonic Series has a cohesive but richly layered character. The response allows the sound to be shaped by the percussionist's intentions, from the softest touch all the way to swelling crescendos.

Construction

The Symphonic Series is the result of years of development and is built from hand-hammered B20 cymbals, the same material and craftsmanship behind some of Meinl's most respected lines. This gives the cymbal a sophisticated sound with good balance between fundamental tone and overtones.

Who It's For

The Suspended cymbal suits players in orchestras, ensembles or other classical settings who need a suspended cymbal with controlled yet expressive sound.
