20" Meinl Soundcaster Custom Medium Ride - Brilliant

Product Description

The Meinl Soundcaster Custom Medium Ride is a 20" ride cymbal in B12 bronze (88% copper, 12% tin) with a brilliant finish. It delivers a unique sound with a brilliant sparkle on top of a full, rich bottom end, thanks to hi-tech computer-controlled hammering.

When Soundcaster was introduced in 2004, it was a world first for cymbals made from B12 bronze. That copper-and-tin combination gave the series a sound of its own, and the Soundcaster Custom builds on it with a brilliant finish that further enhances the shimmering tone.

Sound and construction

The B12 alloy (88% copper, 12% tin) combined with computer-controlled hammering gives the cymbal its signature character: a brilliant sparkle sitting on top of a full, supportive bottom end. That makes it a versatile ride, equally at home laying down clear timekeeping or being played for a bigger wash of tone.

Who it's for

The Soundcaster Custom series spans a wide range, from explosive thin crashes to powerful Mega Bell Rides, and this 20" medium ride suits players who want a ride with both attack and a rich, full decay in one cymbal.
