Product Description
The EQ3 Resonant is a bass drum resonant head from Evans, designed to give a focused, controlled tone right out of the box. It features internal muffling and a reinforced port hole, making it easy to mic or trigger the drum without risking damage to the head's edge.
Many bass drum heads need extra muffling — tape, rings or pillows — to tame an unruly, boomy sound. The EQ3 Resonant handles much of that job on its own thanks to its built-in muffling, giving a fuller but still controlled tone with less setup work for the player or engineer.
Construction
The head comes in a smooth white finish and has a reinforced center port hole, so a microphone or trigger can be placed close to the head without tearing or wear around the opening — a common weak point on unreinforced heads.
