20" Meinl Pure Alloy Medium Ride

Product Description

The Meinl Pure Alloy Medium Ride is a 20" ride cymbal with a bright, clean and timeless sound. It delivers a distinct woody attack surrounded by a smooth wash, making it a great choice if you want clarity without losing character.

Pure Alloy is a new cymbal series from Meinl, designed as a brighter complement to the more complex, earthy sound of the Byzance series. The series launches initially with seven models, with more planned to follow over time.

Construction and sound

The cymbals are made at Meinl's German factory using computer hammering, giving them the controlled, even and bright sound associated with Central European cymbal manufacturing. On the ride models this comes through as a clear, woody attack combined with a pleasant wash on top. These first models in the Pure Alloy series are made from B12 alloy. Future models may use different alloys depending on the sound character Meinl is aiming for with each model.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want a ride cymbal with a bright, clean character and clear attack, rather than a darker, more complex sound.
