Product Description

The 20" PST 8 Reflector Medium Ride from Paiste is a hand-hammered ride cymbal made from CuSn8 bronze (the same alloy family as "2002 Bronze") and finished with Paiste's high-gloss Reflector finish. It delivers a bright, clean, powerful tone with clear definition, and works well across musical styles at any volume, live or in the studio.

• Bright, clean, and powerful tone with clear definition
• Medium to fairly loud volume
• Clear stick sound with balanced intensity
• Medium-long bell
• Separated chick sound
• Hand-hammered and highly polished Reflector surface

Sound Character

The cymbal produces a bright, clean sound with warmth and powerful attack. The tone is clearly defined, and the stick sound cuts through without becoming harsh in the mix. The bell has a medium-long tone and produces a separated, distinct chick sound when used to keep time.

Construction

The PST 8 Reflector Medium Ride is made from CuSn8 bronze, the same alloy family as Paiste's classic "2002 Bronze". The cymbal is traditionally hand-hammered, giving it its characteristic texture and tone, and the surface is then polished to Reflector's high-gloss finish. The medium thickness provides a balance between volume, response, and control.

Who It's For

A great choice if you want a versatile ride that works across most genres and settings, from rehearsal room to stage and studio, without compromising on sound or looks.
