The Evans Onyx EQ3 Resonant is a bass drum resonant head built on the EQ3 Resonant design, finished with a transparent black coating. The coating gives the head a matte look while adding extra stability, which translates into more low end and fullness in the sound compared to an uncoated resonant head.
Designed to be mounted as the front (resonant side) head on a bass drum, it pairs naturally with the rest of Evans' EQ3 range. The matte black finish also gives a clean, understated look on stage and in the studio.
