20" Paiste Masters Thin Cymbal

Product Description

The Paiste Masters Thin 20" is a hand-crafted cymbal from Paiste's top-tier Masters series, cast in CuSn20 bronze (Traditional Bronze). It delivers a warm, full, deep and complex sound, and works especially well for jazz, blues, R&B, funk, pop and country.

The Masters series began as a line of top-class ride cymbals and was expanded in 2014 to include hi-hats and crash models of the same quality. Each cymbal is individually hand-hammered, so the sound varies slightly from piece to piece. No two cymbals in the series are exactly alike.

Sound and Feel

The thin weight gives a fine, open stick sound with lively intensity and an integrated chick sound in hi-hat playing. The bell has a medium character, adding a balanced bell tone on top of the rich body sound. According to Paiste, the cymbal works across low to high volume, while the manufacturer's own product table lists it as suited for low to medium loud volume. Both figures are included here as the source states them separately.

Who It's For

A natural choice if you play in smaller, acoustic settings. Jazz, blues and similar styles. And want a cymbal with a broad sound spectrum, complex response and a unique, personal character in every piece. Works well both live and in the studio.
