20" Paiste Masters Dark Ride Cymbal

Product Description

Masters Dark Ride is a hand-crafted 20" ride cymbal from Paiste, cast in CuSn20 alloy (Traditional Bronze). It delivers a warm, full and deep sound with a broad, complex tonal range, and suits players looking for a refined ride for jazz, blues, R&B, funk, pop and country, both live and in the studio.

Sound Character

The Masters series began as Paiste's top-tier range of ride cymbals and was later expanded with hi-hats and crash models, all hand-crafted for the discerning drummer. The Dark Ride has a fairly washy stick sound with steady intensity, and a medium-length bell with an integrated chick sound. The overall sound is wide and complex, and every cymbal is unique due to individual hand finishing.

Playing Feel

The thickness is medium thin, giving a response that works from low to medium-loud volume. That makes it equally at home in a quiet jazz setting and in more dynamic live situations.

Who It's For

A great ride for players working in acoustically oriented music who want a warm, complex sound with distinct character rather than a hard, clinically bright bell.
