- Warm, full, deep and complex sound
- Medium thickness

- Medium bell
- Fairly integrated chick sound
Sound and Feel
The Masters series started out as a range of top-of-the-line ride cymbals, and in 2014 the series was expanded to also include hi-hats and crash models of the same quality. The Dark Dry Ride offers a wide range and great scope in its sound, and every cymbal is unique. It has a woody attack, dry intensity and a medium bell that gives a clear yet balanced bell sound. The chick sound is fairly well integrated into the overall tone.
Use
The cymbal works from low to loud volume levels and suits both live playing and recording. It is particularly well suited for jazz, blues, R&B, funk, pop and country.
Who It's For
A cymbal for players who want a warm, complex sound with clear character, in styles where dynamics and nuance matter more than sheer volume.
