20" Aquarian Jack DeJohnette - Black textured coating
Bass drum head with a black textured surface for a dry, focused sound. Especially well suited to jazz and fusion.
Product Description
Jack DeJohnette's playing style is iconic, and his sound is unique. Aquarian has designed this bass drum head with a special black texture that enhances the head's sonic character. The slightly thicker coating gives a dry, focused sound that's especially well suited to jazz and fusion.
The head is single-ply, built around a black textured surface that tames overtones without choking the tone. The result is a focused, controlled character with a clear attack. The kind of dry, direct sound associated with Jack DeJohnette's playing.
Who It's For
Great for players in jazz and fusion settings who want a bass drum with a short, controlled decay rather than an open, resonant tone. Also useful in the studio, where a cleaned-up, focused bass drum sound makes mixing easier.
