20" Istanbul Mehmet MC Jazz Ride Sizzle Ride Cymbal
Light jazz ride with a raw, unlathed bell and sparse lathing. Dark, dry sound with great stick definition.
Product Description
The Istanbul Mehmet MC Jazz Ride Sizzle 20" is a light weight jazz ride designed to capture the sound of unlathed Turk cymbals. This combination gives a dark and dry sound with great stick definition and mellow overtones. Suited for traditional jazz players, or anyone looking for a light weighted dark cymbal sound in any type of music.
The bell has a raw, unlathed surface, while the body carries vintage and sparse lathing, giving the cymbal its distinct character.
Sound
The light weight lets the cymbal respond quickly and easily. Combined with the raw bell and sparse lathing, it produces a dark, dry sound with mellow overtones, while stick definition stays clear without turning harsh or metallic.
Who It's For
The MC Jazz series is aimed at today's players who play traditional jazz, but works just as well for anyone searching for a light weighted, dark cymbal sound for any type of music.
