20" Istanbul Agop Turk Crash Cymbal
20" crash cymbal (Turk) from Istanbul Agop, fully unlathed with a raw, dry tone from the hand-hammered Custom series.
Product Description
A 20" crash cymbal from Istanbul Agop's exclusive Custom series, the Turk variant. Fully unlathed and hand-hammered, it delivers a raw tone that's slightly drier than the series' Sultan variant.
The Custom series shares the same foundation as Istanbul Agop's Traditional series, but its four sub-variants, Sultan, Turk, Empire and Special Edition, differ in surface treatment. These treatments give each series its own sound and look, while all remain hand-hammered and part of the exclusive end of the cymbal market.
Surface Treatment and Tone
The Turk cymbals have never been through the lathing process. The surface is left completely raw, giving a raw and somewhat drier tone compared to the series' Sultan variant. The untreated surface is a deliberate part of the construction, not a manufacturing shortcut.
