20" Istanbul Agop Special Edition Ride Cymbal
20″ ride cymbal, Special Edition series from Istanbul Agop. Dark, complex tone with a smoother high end.
Product Description
The 20″ Special Edition Ride from Istanbul Agop is designed to capture the qualities of two of the brand's most popular jazz cymbals: the Mel Lewis and the Agop Signature Series. The result is a cymbal with dark, complex overtones combined with a smoother high end and clear stick definition.
The cymbal combines two distinct lathing patterns. The top features a unique, vintage lathing pattern, while the bottom has a very light lathing in the Agop Signature style. This combination shapes the cymbal's character: dark and complex at its core, but with a stick definition that keeps articulation clear even at higher dynamics.
Sound Character
Overtones are dark and complex, while the high end stays smooth rather than overpowering. This makes the cymbal versatile in jazz settings where both depth and clarity of stick attack are wanted.
Who It's For
A good choice for jazz players and other acoustic settings who want a ride with rich, dark tone without losing definition in the stick attack.
