20" Istanbul Agop Mel Lewis Signature Ride Cymbal
20" Mel Lewis Signature Ride from Istanbul Agop. Full sounding, with warm lush wash and woody stick definition.
Product Description
The 20" Mel Lewis Signature Ride from Istanbul Agop is a signature model created in tribute to jazz legend Mel Lewis. It delivers a full sounding ride with warm, lush wash and woody stick definition, making it a great choice for players who want depth and character in their ride cymbal.
Mel Lewis was Istanbul Agop's first endorser. After his death in 1990, and with the blessing of his family, his chosen cymbals were flown back to the factory and used as models for what became his Signature Series. Every detail of each original cymbal was studied and replicated by hand by Istanbul Agop's cymbalsmiths, as a tribute to Mel Lewis' legacy.
The result is a full, warm sound with a lush wash underneath the stick, while the attack itself stays woody and clearly defined. That combination makes it a versatile choice in jazz settings where you want both body and clarity in your comping.
