20" Istanbul Agop Lenny White Signature Epoch Crash Cymbal
20" Lenny White Signature crash (Istanbul Agop). Deep, warm crash with quick decay from its flatter profile.
Product Description
The 20" Lenny White Signature "Epoch" Crash is a signature cymbal developed with jazz legend Lenny White for Istanbul Agop. The Crash delivers a deep, warm tone that stays clear and uncomplicated, with a quick decay thanks to its flatter profile. A great choice if you want a full-bodied but controllable crash with real character.
Background
The "Epoch" signature series was developed in collaboration with Lenny White, heavily inspired by a ride cymbal given to Wallace Roney by the late, great Tony Williams. A cymbal Lenny himself used to play while working with Wallace. That story is the foundation of the whole Epoch line, of which this crash is a part.
Sound Character
The Epoch Crash offers a deep, warm sound that isn't overly complex. Its flatter profile gives it a quick decay, making it easy to control within a busy groove without letting the sustain take over.
