Product Description
The Remo Fiberskyn 3 Ambassador 20" is a bass drum head built for the dark, warm, round tone traditionally sought after in jazz and orchestral playing. It's made with a single-ply, poly-spun fiber surface over a 10 mil Mylar® film, giving it a warm attack and a resonant mid-range voice.
The surface works equally well with sticks and brushes, and the head produces a warm spectrum of sound whether it's mounted on a bass drum, snare drum or tom-tom. Fiberskyn 3 Ambassador heads are best known for jazz and orchestral applications, but they also give an outstanding, authentic ethnic drum sound on World Percussion instruments.
Sound Character
The single-ply build makes this a medium-weight head, producing a warm, round fundamental with a soft but present attack – leaning dark and full rather than sharp and cutting.
Who It's For
A good choice if you play traditional jazz, orchestral music, or want an authentic tone on world percussion instruments. Also works well as a warmer alternative to more neutral heads on bass drum and tom-tom.
