20" Paiste Color Sound 900 Heavy Ride Cymbal - Purple

Product Description

The 20" Purple Heavy Ride from Paiste's Color Sound 900 series is a heavy-weight ride cymbal with a warm, full and dynamic sound. It shares its base construction with the standard 900 series, but the purple color coating gives it a somewhat darker and more controlled sound.

The Color Sound 900 series stands out with its four bold colors, while keeping the same trusted Paiste quality underneath. The cymbal is machine made at its base, just like the rest of the 900 series, and then hand-hammered as a final step in production. The alloy is CuSn20.

Sound and Feel

The attack is pingy and clear, with a lively intensity to the sound. The bell is separated, giving it a distinct voice of its own compared to the rest of the cymbal. Volume ranges from medium to very loud, keeping it audible even in demanding musical settings.

Where It Fits

This cymbal works well both live and in the studio, across virtually any genre or musical context.
